Furthermore, the internet more likely to throw up some crazy, exciting gift that you’ve never seen before and that might fit what you loved-one likes far more than anything you might ever find in a shop; high street stores in particular tend to stock items that they’re comfortable with selling rather than anything wacky and unusual.
Nonetheless, whilst it is really useful to have a broad range of possibilities for your loved-one’s gift, you need to be careful not to make it too broad because at some point you’re going to have to make the big decision and actually go for something and, unless your loved-one has specially asked for something (which is never that fun anyway!) there’s always going to be a strong element of chance involved in any gift-giving
. At the end of the day, you’re going to have to shut your eyes, cross your fingers and just hope that you’ve got them the right thing. But remember, if they really are that special to you, and you to them, whilst it’s always nice to get a great Christmas present, it’s not the end of the world if it all goes wrong – just do your best, it’s the thought that counts!
